I Passed!

Hello all, I would just like to announce that I passed Security+ on my first try with a 756. I have no cybersecurity experience and came from working retail for 20 years. I needed a career change and cybersecurity looked interesting to me.

The methods I used to pass were: -Taking a cybersecurity boot camp from Day0 Cybersecurity Institute. -The Security+ 601 Study guide by Darrel Gibson -Taking the practice exam on the CompTIA website.Now the hunt begins for new opportunities.

Coming from a change of careers from airplane mechanic or just a mechanic in general for 10 years I was very nervous to try something new but after making my decision with day0, the fundamentals courses have gave me a very positive and easier way to understand how many things in the IT world works. I'm excited to continue learning more and more every single day and I'm very happy I have made the decision to continue with day0. I'm more then positive I will enter this field more confident.

The Day0 bootcamp is truly remarkable. It starts from a basic level of understanding and progresses all the way to a clear grasp of cybersecurity concepts. What sets it apart is its emphasis on practical knowledge and real-world applications, which makes learning easy and effective. Having previously attended another cybersecurity class, I found that Day0 excels in helping participants comprehend these important concepts.

I have enjoyed my experience in learning the material to help me learn within the field.I was new to the field and the bootcamp is very informative in a manner that is easy to digest considering all the material that is currently available.

When I started back in March, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. The material was straight forward and easy to follow along for the most part. However, I faced a fair share of challenges along the way and even considered quitting due to hardships. I'll admit it wasn't easy to stay focused, but then I remembered why I signed up. My why became the motivating factor which led me keep going while pushing beyond my comfort zone. Now, I'm saying it's going to be a cake walk. You get what you put in. If you're still undecided, I would highly recommend giving Day0 a go—it was the best decision I ever made.
